New Technology Cannot Replace The Experience

When you think about the world of technology, it is easy to think about all of the new gadgets and gizmos that appear at a fast rate on the market. But is it really that much better than the technological advances of a few years ago?

Whereas some advances such as the mobile phone should be recognised as a triumph over the traditional landline, there are others that don't really seem that much more fantastical. The world of music which has seen quite a few technological advances over the past few years is a prime example of where newer is not always best.

For example, the older hi-fi system is no more complicated to work than an mp3 or mp4 player yet it is not as popular as it once was. The fantastic thing about a hi-fi system is that it can cope with several different types of musical mediums to suit what you already have in your collection.

There is something quite gratifying about being able to play CDs, fiddle with the graphic equalizer knob or even play old records on a music system. This is something that has long been forgotten with the world of downloadable music and specifically designed docking stations for the latest musical gadget.

Whilst the new generation may be used to just being able to plug in their laptop and have access to a wealth of music, there is nothing that beats the experience of heading down to that music shop and browsing in person, finding the classics and most importantly being able to enjoy them as they were supposed to be enjoyed in your own home.
